EA already picked the best players of the week. The players names were unveiled this Wednesday at 3pm UK.
Didier Drogba’s birthday was yesterday (Tuesday) but he decided to celebrate it in style last Saturday, scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 6:1 win over Akhisar Belediye Genclik Ve Spor. Drogba has 10 goals in Turkish League play and the club sit three points out of first place.
Paris Saint-Germain look poised to repeat as Ligue 1 champions after their comfortable 0:3 victory over Bastia on the French island of Corsica. Ezequiel Lavezzi scored twice in the victory, once in the 19th minute then again in the 88th. The 28 year-old Argentine has seven goals in 22 league matches this season.
FC Schalke 04 got back into the win column thanks to the fine play of Klass-Jan Huntelaar. The Dutchman scored three goals in the club’s 4:0 victory over TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday evening. The win moves the Gelsenkirchen-side into a tie for third place with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who dropped points over the weekend. With an automatic place in Europe for the club that finishes third, both teams will have to play their best football for the rest of the season.
