Their performances so far this season have got the world talking, now they’re set to write a whole new year of football headlines in 2022. Celebrate the game’s most in-form players with Headliners in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team!
Headliners are special dynamic items that are permanently upgraded and have the potential for further upgrades based upon individual and team performances in the remainder of the 2021/22 season. At the launch of Headliners, each Headliners player item is released with an initial permanent upgrade, higher than any qualifying performance-based item (Team of the Week or Man of the Match), or their base item if they haven’t received a qualifying upgrade. Each time a Headliner receives a performance-based item, their Headliners item will also receive an upgrade.
In addition, FUT 22 Headliners will also receive an additional one-time permanent upgrade if their club achieves four back to back wins during the remainder of the domestic league season.

Yes, FUT 22 Headliners are dynamic items that get automatically upgraded each time the player earns a qualifying upgraded item during the remainder of the current season.
Which items qualify Headliners for further upgrades?
Headliners will be upgraded when players receive upgraded Team of the Week (until the end of the 2021/22 season), or Man of the Match items. Headliner items will NOT be upgraded based on Player of the Month, and other campaigns like Team of the Year, Team of the Season, or other FUT Campaigns.
Which games qualify for a domestic league club wins upgrade?
Only domestic league fixtures count towards a players’ clubs winning streak. Domestic cups, UEFA competitions, and international fixtures do not count towards a club win streak.
When does the club winning streak start from?
The winning streak for each club starts from the launch of Headliners on December 31. Any club wins before that date does not count towards the upgrade.
How long will a FUT 22 Headliners player take to get updated in-game?
An upgrade based on a team’s winning streak will be updated on the following Wednesday.
What happens if a Headliners Player is transferred/loaned to a different club?
If a Headliners player transfers/goes on loan during the season the Headliners item will remain at their previous club until they either receive an upgrade at their new club or their new club achieves a club winning streak from the time the player joins onwards. At that point the Headliners item will be updated with the player’s new club.
What happens if a player’s in-form item is in a different position to their FUT 22 Headliner item?
The position of the Headliner item will always stay the same as the position at which it was released.
Will FUT 22 Headliners’ dynamic images change if they get an upgrade?
Headliner items will have their own unique image, the image will remain the same regardless of upgrades. The image will change if the player transfers club and they receive an upgrade.
