He joins fellow countrymen and Sydney regional final qualifiers Khalid “xX ThE RoYaL Xx” Aloufi and Abdulaziz “A8drAfwz” Alshehri in securing his place at next month’s FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship Final. The pathway to Berlin from the PlayStation 4 division proved a little more challenging for “fifantomCR”. Though they both finished with the same record in the group, the Japanese gamer advanced to the knockout round behind group winner Man “RonnieYau” Yau. He also had his hands full in the knockout stages, as Okabe needed penalties to defeat Chui “S_O_N_Y_528” Hang in the quarter-finals after a goalless extra-time draw. However, a pair of victories over Australian Samer “Samer96_” Elbadar in both the semi-final and final earned him the PlayStation 4 title.

The Grand Final
In front of an enthusiastic crowd, which included FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Paris regional final winner Tassal “Tass” Rushan, “Msdossary7” capped off a memorable day with a masterful two-leg performance to defeat “fifantomCR” 4-2 on aggregate. Choosing to start the Grand Final on his favoured Xbox One console proved decisive, as a 3-1 victory in the home leg allowed the Saudi gamer to execute his possession-oriented game plan and frustrate Okabe on his preferred PlayStation 4 console in a 1-1 draw in the second leg.
